One Nation, Under God

Up, in the Sky

First Responders honored with U.S. Air Force 'Salutes Flyover'

It was fast, it was big, and it was impressive.

It was a U.S. Airforce C-130 aircraft from the 120th Airlift Wing of the Montana Air National Guard and it flew the friendly skies of Montana last Wednesday and buzzed Malta and Phillips County around 11:30 to demonstrate the Department of the Air Force's continued readiness during the national COVID-19 response while saluting the American heroes at the forefront in the fight against COVID-19.

Since last week's PCN was published, there has been a total of two new cases statewide and now new deaths attributed to the COVID-19 virus in the last seven days and there are still no positives cases in Phillips County or any bordering counties. (A positive COVID-19 test for a person believed to be in Furgus County no longer lives there and hasn't for nearly a year.) Thus far, a total of 423 people have recovered from the COVID-19 virus in Montana out of the 459 positive cases; there are currently 20 active cases in the state with four people in the hospital. A total of 22,572 tests have been administered statewide.
