PCMS holds annual meeting

Phillips County Motorsports announced that the first racing weekend is set to start on Saturday, July 18, one month later than typical, due to current events.

The group held their Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 16, at the Tech Garage near the track.

The meeting was called to order by President Dan Stout at 4:15 p.m.

It was announced at the meeting that there would be no races in June, the Canadian Border was not open and that the group is unsure when the border will re-open. It was also announced that Marty Lundstrom is the New Track Manager.

Prior to the meeting, Clean up day took place at the track.

Elections took place at the meeting and there President Stout was nominated by Gary Mathwich and no other nominees were mentioned.

Marty Lundstrom, former President of the club was nominated as Vice President. Jacy Stolem was nominated and regained her position as treasurer.

Four board positions were up this year. The seats up for election went to Denny Overcast, Frank Baldik, and Steve Neiffer. The trio was appointed to a three-year term. Stout resigned from his board seat to allow a new person on the board for the rest of that seat’s term. Terry Townsend was elected to replace Neil Stahl, who had also stepped down.
