Vacation Bible School

From July 20-to-24, four Malta churches are joining together to offer Vacation Bible School at Elim Lutheran Brethren Church. Morning and afternoon sessions are available, but class size is limited. Children will need to pre-register. Contact Shari Solberg at #658-2106 or find us on the Malta Area Vacation Bible School Facebook page for more information. Vacation Bible School is for ages 5-12.

Malta School District Board Meeting

7-13. On Wednesday, July 15, the Malta Schools District will hold in July meeting at the middle-high school starting at 7 p.m.

Crazy Days in Malta

7-18. On Saturday, July 18, the Malta Merchants and Chamber of Commerce present the 2020 Crazy Days in Malta with downtown businesses and vendors at Veterans Park. Activities for children start at 11 a.m. and include a watermelon eating contest.

Used Book Sale

7-17, 18. The Phillips County Library will hold their Used Book Sale on Friday, July 17 from 1 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Library Basement.

Hi-Line Drag Races

7-18 & 19. The first races of the 2020 season at the Hi-Line Dragstrip will be held this Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19, in Malta. Admission is $10 and children under the age of 12 are free.

Farmers Market

7-21. The Malta Chamber Artisan and Farmers market will be held on Tuesday, July 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the new downtown location, Veteran’s Park. Vendor packets are still available at the Malta Chamber office or call Ann at 654-7239 of Alesha at 654-7642 for more information.

Phillips County Crop Tours

7-20 through 22. The Phillips County Crop Tours will start at the Mortenson Farm north of Wagner starting at 5 p.m. Day two of the tours will be Tuesday, July 21 at Mavencamp farm east on Highway 2. The last day of the tours will be Wednesday, July 22 at the Sunford Farm at the farmhouse.

Loring Sunday Funday

7-26. The Loring Sunday Funday will be held on Sunday, July 26 all day in Loring. We will have a Redneck slip and slide, fun sprinklers, and a bouncy house for the kids. Pulled pork lunch and dinner with sides will be served and a free-will donation to benefit the Loring Hall.
