One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for July 29, 2020

7-22. Be aware of all fires as the weather becomes hotter and drier.

July is vacation time, and many from Whitewater have been traveling. These include the Reichelts, who went to Denver to visit family.

Dianne Simonton went to Illinois to see family.

Judy, Debbie Anderson's mom, visited and brought a friend from Texas to Whitewater.

Bruce and Lynn Hill had Bruce’s brother and wife from Texas his guest.

Taylor Hellie’s family from Wisconsin were visiting here. Adam Hellie gave the children horseback rides, which was a treat for the city kids.

Goodbye and God bless to Pastor Burgess and family who had been at Whitewater Baptist Church. They are returning to South Carolina. Good luck to them.

Welcome back to Pastor Wisher and family who are returning to Whitewater Baptist Church around August 1st.

Good luck and God bless to Marian Sanguins and family , Whitewater music teacher, and Gail Wilcox and family who are leaving Whitewater Schools. Also, good luck to Carol Lumsden who is retiring from teaching, but will remain in Loring. We hope to see you often, Carol.

Hope you are all having a nice summer,

7-29. Sympathy to the family of Helen (Brown) Cornell. She was my friend; she had a beautiful voice and I accompanied her on the piano as we sang and played at various churches, and at the Hi-Line Retirement Center.

Get well soon to my sister Janet Brown of Billings. She was raised and lived in Whitewater for many years. Also, get well to all who are sick.

Back in Whitewater, there was a dart game night at the North 40. It was also a farewell party for the Wilcox and Sanguins. The menu included freshly caught fish, courtesy of Terry S., and cake made by Gail Simonson. Good luck to the Wilcox and sanguine families. There will be a party at the Whitewater Lutheran Church for the Wilcox and Sanguine.

Congratulations to Cassandra Stenvik. She recently got engaged. There was a wedding shower for her in Loring and some from Whitewater attended.

Jeanie G., Patty Y., and I went swimming in Saco to celebrate my daughter, Gale Young’s birthday. We met Gale out there and had a picnic and we had a nice time…I cannot believe my baby is that old. Happy birthday to her and also Scott Anderson. There was also a party for him at the ranch and happy birthday to all July birthdays.

We had some rain here in Whitewater recently so everything is still mostly green which is rare for July in Montana. The weather in Whitewater has also been unseasonably cool.

Take care,

Helen A.
