National Night Out to Be Held October 6th in Malta

The Malta Emergency Services, Phillips County Sheriff’s Department and Malta Fire Department will be holding a meet and greet in Trafton Park on October 6th at 6 pm in conjunction with the National Night Out, which promotes police and community partnerships. “We wanted to highlight the message of the event, while also focusing on the importance of the camaraderie between all three of our organizations and the appreciation, we have for each other and the community,” said Rhei Tharp, EMS Coordinator.

Everyone is invited to attend to show their support and appreciation for the great men and women who work so hard for our community. “There might be some popcorn and other treats in it for the kids, too,” said Tharp.

The National Night Out is an annual event that Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide Communities host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, and visits from emergency personnel.
