One Nation, Under God

Michael Alan Davis

Michael Alan Davis, 44, passed away on October 13, 2020, at his home, in Billings, Mont.

He was born September 3, 1976 in Conrad, Mont., to Joseph Davis and Leann (Martin) Pankratz. Mike grew up in several places throughout Montana and Idaho until the family moved back to Malta. He graduated from Malta High School in 1995. After high school, he moved to Billings, Mont., and found work in construction and soon after went to work in a bronze foundry.

Later in his life he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a technician for Metra RV. He shared a love of machines with his father and brothers that often led to many spirited conversations at family gatherings. His culinary skills will be missed by all that had the pleasure of breaking bread with him. You could either find him tinkering or cooking in his free time.

Mike was a man of solid conviction and of good heart. His smile could brighten the room and his laughter would put you at ease no matter what the situation had presented. He was loyal to a fault and would always stand with the ones he loved. Mike is free now and his memory lives through those that knew and loved him. Mike was preceded in death by Floyd Wesley Davis (Grandfather), Patricia Ann Davis (Grandmother), and Kenneth Robert Martin Sr. (Grandfather). Mike is survived by his sons Devin and Mason Davis of Billings, his mother Leann (Timothy) Pankratz of Malta, and his father Joseph Davis of Sheridan, Wyo.; sisters Kate (Denny) Emond of Sheridan, Wyo., Timberlee Pankratz of Malta, and Mariah Pankratz of Malta; brothers Chris (Sasha) Davis of Rawlins, Wyo, James (Steph) Davis of Farmington, N.M., Tyler Pankratz of Harlem, Mont.; Grandmother Rosemarie (Grandchamp) Zeracor and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Malta VFW on October 23rd, 2020. The family will be greeting friends and family at 6 p.m.
