The Dodson FFA Chapter has been busy this fall despite all that is happening in our community and state. The Chapter’s first event was officer elections. This was conducted on September 21st. The results of the election are as follows: Ireland Best-president, Ithay Heck-vice president, Treyten Stiffarm-secretary, Mason LoneBear-treasurer, and Junior Stiffarm-student council representative.

During the week of September 29th, the chapter competed in the Judith Basin Fall District Contests that were held virtually. Twelve schools competed and Dodson students represented the school very well. In Junior Range Judging, the team placed 2nd and was led by Junior (5th place individual) and Mason (8th place individual). In Junior Livestock Judging, the team placed 5th and was led by Jeremiah Henry (15th), Sebastain Best (26th), and Kim IronBear (52nd). A total of 124 FFA members competed in the Junior Livestock Contest.

In Senior Range Judging, Ireland represented Dodson well, placing 15th individually and as a one-person team, placed 6th out of 8 teams competing.

Other Dodson FFA members that competed were: Michael Turnsplenty, Imagin Fox, Landen Fox, Kellen Cole, Titus Webb, Kataya Flasburg, and Chaske Williams.

The Dodson FFA Chapter will compete in the upcoming John Deere Expo career development events (virtually) and will sell fruit as a fundraiser in November.
