Concealed Weapon Permits:

New and renewal applications for Concealed Weapon Permits may be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office anytime. Once approved, you will be contacted to come in on Wednesday between 9 AM and noon for fingerprints and photographs.

November 6, 2020

11:15 p.m. Ft Belknap LE reported an abandoned vehicle on Route 66; Sheriff responded to the call; no vehicle located by Sheriff or Ft Belknap LE.

November 7, 2020

2:05 a.m. Sheriff reported a water main leak on Central Ave; information passed onto City employee.

9:55 p.m. Sheriff performed building security checks in the Whitewater area.

November 8, 2020

10:16 a.m. Undersheriff advised the big garage door at the Pavilion was open and would try to get it closed; all found to be okay, individuals were using the area and needed the light as the electricity wasn’t working like normal.

10:55 a.m. Central MT Dispatch received a 911 reporting a stuck hunter on CMR near Rock Creek; CMR Officer responded to the call; hunter located and taken to Sand Creek Station to meet with family members who were coming to pick him up.

11:17 a.m. Allstate Roadside Assistance requested help for a customer who locked his keys in his vehicle at James Kipp Park; CMR Officer handled the call.

11:59 a.m. 911 received requesting assistance for hunters who were stuck east of Turkey Track Road near Theoney Hill; local Border Patrol Agents and other good Samaritans responded to the call; individuals refused to walk the last mile out to the waiting assistance because of one person with a bad leg; situation called for the night.

1:25 p.m. Numerous calls received reporting the siren going off; City employee responded to the call and got the siren shut off.

4:18 p.m. Male reported he left his vehicle at the top of Mitch Hill due to a tire coming off; would remove it after the storm passed.

11:00 p.m. Female reported a disabled vehicle on Hwy 2, west of Saco, and they would be removing it the following day.

November 9, 2020

1:32 a.m. Deputy reported suspicious tracks in the snow around a business’ vehicles; nothing seemed to be missing or damaged; information passed onto business manager.

7:41 a.m. Local Border Patrol Agents returned to Turkey Track to get the individuals out that were stuck; Undersheriff transported the individuals back to Malta to a local motel.

2:23 p.m. Female reported a Social Security number phone scam.3:43 p.m. Reserve Deputy transported one adult male, Shade Stiles, from Valley Co Detention Center to PCSO to be released on time served.

5:32 p.m. Valley Co SO received a traffic complaint about a vehicle traveling westbound from the Hinsdale area; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

November 10, 2020

6:57 a.m. Male reported a semi truck and trailer dragging something and causing sparks on Hwy 2, east of Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle located and nothing found to be dragging.

7:55 a.m. Female reported a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy 191 south; caller advised would be bringing the driver into Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle found to have just slid off of the Hwy.

10:02 a.m. Male reported a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy 191 south of Malta; caller advised was reported and taken care of.

10:47 a.m. Local Fish & Game Warden reported a one vehicle accident east of Dodson; no injuries to the driver and minor damage to the fence; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

Numerous calls received reporting the callers received a phone call scam about their Social Security number.

3:07 p.m. Wilderness Funeral Home requested law enforcement assistance with blocking traffic for a funeral procession; Undersheriff handled the call.

5:23 p.m. Dept of Child & Family Services caseworker requested PCSO assistance at a residence in Loring; Deputy handled the call.

7:53 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle in the ditch, east of Dodson; caller advised it was an accident from this morning and all was okay.

8:45 p.m. Female reported a vehicle in the ditch, east of the Overpass on Hwy 2; caller advised it was an accident from this morning and all was okay.

November 11, 2020

8:04 a.m. 911 received reporting a one vehicle accident on Frontage Road; Deputy, local EMT Crew and FD responded to the call; Ambulance and FD later canceled; case file started.

11:41 a.m. Female reported an antelope caught in a fence, west of Malta; Undersheriff and Deputy responded to the call; fence cut and antelope sped off with minimal injuries to front legs.

1:28 p.m. Male requested a welfare check on a female at a Dodson residence; Deputy responded to the call; female found to be okay, had been sleeping.

November 12, 2020

1:53 a.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Malta area.

9:45 a.m. Male reported an abandoned vehicle in the ditch near his approach off of Hwy 191 south; owner located and advised to move the vehicle.

10:38 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for an elderly female; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.
