Veterans receive Valentines Gifts at HLRC

Amid the cold and Covid, local youth delivered decorated goblets filled with fresh cookies to the Veterans and Gold Star Mother, Mae Walsh, at the Hi Line Nursing Home on Sunday.

Honored were Wesley Orahood, Donald Partridge, Ernie Becker, Eugenia Taylor, Curt Kron and Gold Star Mother, Mae. Youth assisting with the project were Denvyr Tuss, Allie Kunze and Connor Tuss, who are American Legion Auxiliary Juniors and Sons of American Legion representatives. Lauren Tuss assisted with the preparation of the gift goblets. The Veterans were delighted with the goodies, Mae was excited to "have a...
