One Nation, Under God
Even though it is March, many signs of spring are evident. A Robin was spotted in Loring on Sunday by Cindy Clark! It was just hop, hop, hopping around! The myriads of geese have flown in to the waterways over by Whitewater, and gophers are plentiful out on the hillsides. I saw several beautiful bald eagles this week. We really need either snow or rain. Nearly all the ranchers have started their vigilance watching for momma cows who might need help! A very busy and stressful time of year for them!
The North Country Lady Mavericks finished up the basketball season in second place for the state! I am among all the rest of Phillips County residents with pride for their accomplishments! Also the M-ettes took fourth among all the class B schools in Montana! Congratulations to both clubs! I saw a note from the track coach to remember the track shoes on Monday! The kids are already in shape, so go go go!
Carol Lumsden hosted Bible study on Wednesday. After the study we decided to start working on our shoebox project for next Christmas. Paula is the chairman of the project.
Cindy Clark took a break from working in the yard and brought Bryten Clark out to visit Buster and me on Friday!
The Loring Lutheran Church will not meet this Sunday but we will meet on the 28th for Palm Sunday! Don't forget the breakfast on Easter Sunday!
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you Irish people out there, and also to the non-irish! The first day of Spring is on Saturday, so time to stand the broom up by itself and attempt to balance an egg on one end! So fun to try! I've never been successful at either, but I do know people who can make it work!
The Northern Lights have been really active this last week! I haven't seen the colors except yellow and greenish! The pictures of the purple and red are intriguing.
Alex Harms celebrated his birthday on Saturday at the Sleeping Buffalo with friends. Also Aubrey Norville had a birthday celebration with family and friends at the Buffalo, so it was hectic! Excitement for everyone!
Until next week, be kind to each other!
