Students fight mosquitoes in Dodson with bake sale

Six second graders from Dodson are to be congratulated for raising $150 for their town.

The students have been learning about goods and trades and how they can contribute to their community by being good citizens in their Social Studies class.

During lesson discussions, teacher Deserae KillEagle told them about the many bake sales different groups in the school have held to raise money for trips, uniforms, etc.

This sparked their interest in wanting to help out. Since parent-teacher conferences were coming up and no one was having a bake sale, the students thought this was a perfect opportunity to raise money for a good cause.
