One Nation, Under God

Loring News for April 7, 2021

Many birds are on the way north! The juncos are here with their sift gray bodies. The robins and meadowlarks have been around for a couple of weeks. The crocuses are blooming on the hillsides, and the insects are slowly warming up!

Northern Phillips County is in dire need of rain or snow! It is so dry, the coyotes have a tough time wetting their howl!

A great treat of bingo with Jeanie Green's “Almost There, Medicare!” Birthday party was enjoyed by many friends on Thursday! I actually won three times! Cherisha Morrison, Cindy Clark, and I attended from Loring. Several carloads from Malta and Whitewater rounded out the rivalry! Jeannie Schroeder, Saige, and Zoey Stordahl spent the Easter weekend visiting at the farm and grandma’s house! We spent some time baking, flying kites, blowing bubbles, hunting Easter eggs, and eating!

Ruth and John Flansaas trekked out to Loring for Easter services! Jerry and Gloria Salveson and Tiffany and her husband from Glendive joined the Lumsden family for the day. Carmen Norville, and girls, Jonnae and Jim Slade and kids, and Whitney and Jay Blunt and children filled the church with happy sounds! And I'd like to wish John Flansaas a happy birthday!

The temperatures for the week were pretty warm! Almost 70 degrees! But then the next day barely breaking the 40’s!

One of our young athletes played in the HIT in Havre this past weekend! Class C rules! Congrats to Kia Wasson and her teammates for winning the Championship!

Nana Cark had several dozen eggs ready for the grandkids to dye when I stopped over for a few minutes! Such a good grandma! But the next day I noticed Boris had a slight tint to his tail and hair! I'm thinking that the dyers got carried away and sprayed a nice white dog!

Just want to shout out to Betty Munson in Havre! Thanks for sharing your storytelling with me! Also to Tim Abney in California who shares his birding articles with me!

Should be a new moon this week so nice and dark! Check out the northern skies for aurora Borealis. Be kind and spread the love!

Welcome home to the snowbirds who have returned, just in time for calving!
