The Malta Irrigation District is seeking to fill one (1) Machine Operator position.
This position is permanent full-time with health care benefits, including pension. Applicants must have the desire and ability to perform a wide variety of skilled duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the Malta Irrigation District’s water distribution system. Applicants must have the following skills – Operate and maintain machinery, including but not limited to loaders, trucks, backhoes, excavators, etc. Must be willing to perform work in the operation and use of construction equipment in support of activities related to construction, maintenance, and repair of the District’s water systems. Must be able to work some overtime and weekends and be on call for emergencies. Must also have or be able to obtain a Class A drivers’ license within the first year of employment. Applicant will also be required to pass a drug screening.
