One Nation, Under God

Loring News for April 28, 2021

April brought us a mix of moisture, a little mist, a little rain and a bit of snow, too. But not much! We had lots of wind! The birds are migrating through. I even heard the sandhill cranes the other day! The spring flowers crocuses are still blooming on the hillsides. I have not seen the yellow bells that I look forward to the last week of April. Maybe they are just a little slow this year.

I went to senior lunches in Whitewater on Wednesday, then Lu and I spent a few hours at the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum. I spent a couple of hours in again on Thursday.

On Friday the Whitewater track meet was held. I look forward to that day because they let me use the microphone to announce the winners! Plus the visiting with friends who I don't get to see very often! I was excited to see Mr. And Mrs. Boucher from Hinsdale! They have been very good at following their grandchildren in school events, but with Covid 19 they haven't gotten out as much, and neither have I!

Cindy and Dave Clark celebrated their 45 wedding anniversary on Friday with Cruise Central and dinner at the G.N. Mylee Clark was so happy that the surprise of Aunt Becca and Uncle Robert joining them from Great Falls was a success! The Engum’s stayed over night and then traveled back to Great Falls. Congratulations to Cindy and David!

Sadness hit our community again this week. Sympathy to Twilla Johannesen and her family on the loss of her mother, Josie Shaw. Also sympathy to the family of Tommy Boschee who passed away on Tuesday after a heroic fight against cancer! And our community sends condolences to Matilda Hofer on the loss of her mother a few weeks ago.

Loring Womens Club was held at the home of Cindy Clark on Wednesday with 7 members present. We discussed the gopher hunt meals, the Shaw funeral reception, and our group dinner.

The full Supermoon happened the 26-27. It is called the Pink Moon. It's called Supermoon because the moon is closer to the earth than other times during the year. I've read that there are three super moons this year!

Have a great week! Be kind!
