Littles combine for Halloween Party

Mrs. Osmundsons' Phillips County Library Storytime and Mrs. Houlds' Little Learners Preschool got together last Wednesday and Thursday for Halloween.

The costumed children enjoyed monster stories and songs, a spooky interactive sensory wall, an egg carton bat craft, and a color page.

Each day Mrs. Osmundson chose a parent to describe a mystery creature to help complete Frankenstein's face at the Apothecary.

The children squealed with joy as a mother sunk her hand into the squishy mystery box and the wild guesses were even better!

His (Frankenstein's) chalkboard features were completed with an eye of newt, venom of snakes, wart of a toad, slime of a slug, and sewed up with the silk of a spider.

Mrs. Hould brought her children via the Phillips Transit Authority and provided the snacks and a drink. The library staff enjoyed decorating and provided each child with a treat bag. The two-day event was held in the downstairs meeting room courtesy of the Phillips County Extension Office.
