One Nation, Under God
In honor of Veterans Day last Thursday I would like to mention the seven children of Miles and Mae Henry who served in the second World War and Korea, 3 soldiers and 4 marines. Ray-Army, Jack-Marine, who was a tail gunner in the pacific, Jessie, the female Marine, and Jack's twin, Wally-Army-Burma, James, Marine-Iwo Jima survivor--Shorty, Marine and Pat, Korea. Later grandchildren serving included Dirk, Marine--Dan and Dave (twins) Army-- and Roger and Bill, Army and later great grandson Aaron, Marine and thanks to God, they all came home. Two of my brothers served, Norman-Navy and Gordon- Air Force. Hats off and THANKS to all who served in the various Wars to help give us the freedom that we enjoy. We are proud and grateful to ALL the Veterans who served --You make up a mighty nation! We are proud of all veterans and their families who supported them.
It rained quite hard on Saturday night. We need the moisture.
Teri Leys and Roper and Asher of Choteau were home to visit Dora Henry this week.
The school served a very good lunch to the community on Thursday in Honor of Thanksgiving. It was well attended and thanks are extended to the school, the cooks. the students acting as servers and anyone else who contributed to the success of the day. It was enjoyed and appreciated by all.
Dora Henry visited at Bonnie and Corky LaBrie's on Friday.
Linda Vulk came to visit her mom, Dora, for a few days this week.
Birthday greetings go out to Halle Williamson, Steve Tremblay, Jennifer Best and all others having a "big" day. Anniversary congratulations to Steve and Barb Trembley, and Rob and Halle Williamson. Hope you enjoy many more.
When you tell your children they're going to put you in an early grave, and they say that's no longer possible.
