One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, December 15, 2021

It was certainly serendipitous when Pastor Bob got a tire that was going flat at Senior meals at the North Forty. He aired it up and started off for Malta. But he had planned to deliver a meal to Pat Murdock, but he couldn’t do it with a low tire! So I got a chance to drive up to Pat’s and visit for a few minutes! Lu Besel rode along with me!

We must look for the exciting smidgens left for us to enjoy a happy life! Also that day I saw two hawks sitting on the power poles!

North Country Repair hosted a customer appreciation event on Friday. The chili was just right and the cinnamon buns were delightful! No cars were repaired that day

Since we had snow last Saturday the temperature hasn’t been high enough to melt it all. It has gotten a bit icy on the driveway, but the main roads are good. The winds have not disappeared.

The three planets in the west as the sun goes down, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter are still brightly visible.

Carol and Pete Lumsden returned from Cancun and visited with Mike and Brenda Flansaas on Wednesday. They reported having a great time even though they missed their plane connection. They still got home in good spirits!

Dixie Stordahl hosted a Bible study with five guests present. We are studying “The Chosen”.

Get well wishes to the people in our community who are in the hospital. Please keep all folks in prayer.

I thank you for reading my column. Keep in mind that Loring is a happening community, but very small! Most of what I write is from my own calendar or made up!

Be kind!
