Louella Ann Goertz

Louella Ann Goertz passed away in Billings, MT on December 17, 2021 at the age of 97.

Louella was born August 4, 1924 in Havre, MT to Art and Gertrude Otto. She joined big brother William and 3 years later, a sister, Jessie completed the family.

After graduating from Havre High, Louella worked for Buttreys Dept. Store for a few years until she met the love of her life, Lynn Goertz Sr. They were married in 1946 after Lynn returned from serving in the army in WWII. They were blessed with 3 children.

They first lived near Ronan, MT and farmed close in distance to where Lynn's mother lived until she passed in 1953. The family then moved to a farm/ranch north of Wagner, MT and worked for Art Best until he retired and sold the place to them. Louella was the cook, bookkeeper, housekeeper, drove tractor and worked cattle. They lived there until 1975 at which time they moved into Malta, MT where Louella lived until 2014. She then moved to Billings into a senior retirement facility. She always loved to crochet, tend her flowers and brag about her grandchildren. She was very ready to see Jesus.

Preceding her in death were her parents, siblings and her husband, Lynn Sr. in 1992.

Survivors include her children; William "Bill" (& Beth), Lynn Jr. "Rusty" (& Gail), SusAnn "Susie" Smith (& Gordon), 6 grandchildren; Tara Wasson (Gregg), Marie Cummings, Wendy Stene (Ode), Marla Morser (Mike), Kristopher Goertz (Angela) and Michael Goertz (Amanda), 15 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

Graveside service will take place in Malta Cemetery at a future date.
