One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, January 19, 2022

Again, Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to all who celebrate in January.

On reading some of my Whitewater News volumes, I realize that sometimes I am really discombobulated! That’s my word for confused. I apologize.

After all the problems we have been through in 2021, probably many people feel like that. We have had the covid virus, drought, fires, violence, weather, etc.

Just hang in there! We hope and pray 2022 will be better for all.

Now our town of Whitewater is quiet, the children are back in school, the farmers and ranchers are busy feeding cattle, sheep, or other animals.

I feel sorry for wildlife, they are almost starving or freezing. We have had lots of snow and cold. However, today we have a heatwave, it’s 30 degrees above.

Note: If you have any news or stories, call me, or write to me. Thanks

Congratulations to all our Basketball teams, especially the Whitewater Penguins/North Country Mavericks. Keep up the good work. There will be basketball games in Whitewater, on January 21 and January 28, call the school for more information.

There will be a council meeting at the Whitewater Lutheran Church on Sunday, January 23, following the morning service at 11:15.

Whitewater Baptist Church has Sunday school at 10 a.m. and church at 11:00 a.m. Bible Study is at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Don’t forget the library at the North 40 Café. READ!

Keep Warm!

Helen A.
