Dodson teams split games

The Dodson Coyotes and Lady Coyotes squared off against District 3C opponents last weekend, facing their Frazer counterparts on Friday, January 14, and Lustre Christian on Saturday, January 15.

The teams are scheduled to face the North Country Maverick basketball teams on Friday, January 21, in Whitewater. They will then travel back to Dodson to host the Scobey Spartans on Saturday, January 22.

COYOTES

The Dodson Coyotes posted a dominant 75-24 win over the Frazer Bearcubs last Friday in Frazer. The Coyotes were led by Kadin Racine who scored 18 points. Cash KillEagle had 17 points. Mikey Jaynes had 13 points.

The Coyotes outscored the Bearcubs 24-7 in the first quarter, 28-9 in the second quarter, 10-5 in the third quarter, and 13-3 in the fourth.

In their loss to Lustre, the score was 82-44. The Coyotes were led by Racine who had 18 points. Jaynes and KillEagle each discord eight points. Alex Werk had six points and Sebastian Best had four points.

LADY COYOTES

The Lady Coyotes picked up a win over the Frazer Lady Bearcubs on Friday in Frazer. The score was 61-48.

Kataya KillEagle posted a season's best of 35 points. Imagin Fox had 16 points. Kylee Ball had seven points, Jean Jackson had two points, and Jazzlyn KillEagle had one point.

Dodson led throughout but had a 42-40 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The team went on to outscore Frazer 19-8 in the final period.

The Lady Coyotes fell short in the game against Lustre. The score was 53-45.

Dodson was led by K. KillEagle and Jackson who scored 16 points and 14 points respectively. Ball netted six points. J. KillEagle, Alexis IronBear and Fox each had three points. K. KillEagle knocked down three treys.

The Lady Coyotes had a 36-32 lead going into the fourth quarter, but Lustre's Alexa Reddig led the run, scoring 15 of her game-leading 39 points in the final period. The Lady Lions outscored Dodson 21-9.
