One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, February 9, 2022

Happy Valentine’s Day! It is February 2022. Happy Birthday to all. Also, to those celebrating an anniversary.

There were ballgames at the Whitewater School. Supper was served and there was an auction. The National Anthem was song by Samantha Wisher, which was beautiful. The band also played the school songs. Very nice!

From the weather bureau, more snow melted, but it was cold and icy. Be careful walking or driving.

Also beware of the C-19 virus. I talked to Teresa (my daughter) in Canada. She said there is a truck convoy going on in Canada. They are protesting the virus restriction, high gas prices, and problems getting supplies, and labor workers. It sounds like the United States.

Well, on Ground Hog Day, lets hope Phil (the groundhog) predicts and early spring. (Editor note: sorry he saw his shadow, we have 6 more weeks of winter).

Here in Whitewater, Jeanie Green got the 1st baby lamb! Maybe that a sign of spring.

Anyway- lets do some cooking! The recipes are from the Relay for Life Cookbook. To benefit cancer.

Potatoes Romanoff:

1 pkg of Au gratin potato mix.

¾ lb., ground beef

1 can cream of mushroom soup

3 ½ cups of boiling water

Mix ingredients together and cook for 30 to 35 minutes.
