One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, February 23, 2022

We could not get away with out at least one more cold blast and a little more snow from old man winter, so Sunday and Monday were nasty again and very cold.

The community was saddened with the death of long time resident of Malta and Saco, Helen Mae DePuydt. She had been a good friend to many--she was my neighbor as we grew up. Condolences are sent to the large extended family.

Also condolences to the family of our friend and long time teacher at Dodson, Bob Hicks, who passed away on Valentines Day.

Congratulations and greetings to all having a birthday or anniversary this cold week. Hope it is a good one.

One thing I've learned in growing old, no doubt you've noticed too: The kids to whom you gave advice, now give advice to you.

The winter Olympics are over and the United States came away with medals. I'm sure some aches and pains and we can all be proud of all the ones who worked so hard to get the different medals. Some of the feats were spectacular and I'm sure it was very cold there too. Congratulations to them all.

Have a good week and keep hoping for warmer weather.
