One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, April 27, 2022

A wonderful surprise for me when I looked at my shelf with my amaryllis bulbs stored on it! One had grown a new bud shoot and will be blooming soon! Such a lift to my heart! Spring birds that I’ve noted lately, slate sided junco, robins, meadowlarks, gulls, lots of hawks, and I’ve heard the song of a finch or warbler! The weather has been so fickle, teasing about moisture, but not delivering. The relentless wind is never ending! It actually blew a few pieces of my soffit off! I pray that your place is not hurt by the wind!

Congratulations to the Whitewater Penguins on their performance at District music fest and the spring track meets! And also to all the junior high and elementary basketball players who are playing in the spring games! Sounds like a great success and a fun way to improve skills and hone in on some plays!

Loring Lutheran Church will hold services on Sunday May 1, Happy May Day! I hope someone checks my special flower spot for the yellow bells that I pick every year!

I spent a few days in Billings for pre op appointments. My new knee will be put in on the 27! I’m a bit apprehensive, but am sure I’ll be in less pain eventually!

Also the gopher hunt is on April 30 here in Loring! Come out, pop off a few critters, and have a delicious burger! Many prizes to be given away!

The Blunt family spent Easter weekend at the Troy Blunt ranch, playing with the cousins!

Be safe and kind!
