One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, May 11, 2022

Heavy rain Tuesday night---puddles all over Wednesday morning. A little drop in temp but sure made a difference in the color of the lawns. Greener everywhere. Light rain again on Wednesday night and again on Friday night. Should be helping with the dryness some.

The town held a public meeting on Thursday evening to talk about the replacement of some of the water mains in town. Funding is being applied for so work could possibly be done by 2023 or 2024. Great West Engineering is helping with getting this funding. It is unknown how much this water service is going to cost each resident when it is finished but there will be a new charge. I believe all the past due accounts will have to, be paid before the federal grants can be applied for. Water does not come for free.

The Footes arrived back in Dodson from California on Thursday. Welcome back for the summer.

Work is still being done on the track and the kids use some of it for practice every afternoon.

I see that the trees and lilacs are starting to leaf out. I have plum trees just starting to show blooms and I have some yellow tulips blooming.

Haven't heard the official results of Dodson's school election yet although the results of some of the other county towns have been on the radio. It seemed a long ways away just a short time ago but the end of another school year is coming up fast.

Congratulations to Charlie and Cheryl Weaver on their anniversary and to all others having an anniversary or birthday this week.

Terri Cole spent Mother's Day in Billings with family. Polly Solberg attended Church at the Elim Lutheran Church in Malta and she said they honored each mother with flowers. Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day, it was a really nice day.

People usually do not reject the Bible because it contradicts itself, but because it contradicts them.

Have a wonderful week!
