One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, June 1, 2022

A big thank you to all our military people who fought for our freedom and gave the ultimate sacrifice. The urge to travel across the coulee and visit my parents’ graves was strong. Since I’m not completely ready to drive myself, I was thankful that Cindy Clark offered to drive. We drove the north road which I haven’t been on for years and it was interesting. The whole area is very dry but the calves that we saw looked good.

Just a note that the Border Bar is open in Turner on Thursday through Sunday! If you have a hankering for a really good burger or sweet potato fries head on over! And I heard that next week they have a Gopher Shoot scheduled! If you have ammo left, the gophers are plentiful.

Congratulations to the high school graduates. Jackson Simonson graduated from Great Falls and Judy and Dan Simonson attended the ceremony along with Keira, Kiana, and Matt! My granddaughter, Saige Stordahl, graduated from Senior in Billings so Rodney attended the ceremony there!

Congratulations to Zeena and Robbie Mooney on their wedding. Brenda Kornfeld and Bill Murdock attended the wedding in Billings! Zeena is Zelda and Joey Fox’s daughter, The track and field season is over for this year. The Penguins had a great state meet, placing in four events. Cross-reference to the sports page!

Shout out to Ruth Flansaas and Bobby and Pat Anderson in Malta!

I’m just heartsick about the mass shootings that have taken place in our country! I don’t have any solutions but prayer.

Loring Lutheran will have services on Sunday, June 5 at 9.

Hope you have a great week spreading kindness.
