Malta District purchases Blue Bird bus

The Malta School District is getting into the bus business.

The district has purchased a 1999 Blue Bird coach bus from Bouma Truck Sales in Great Falls for $63,500.

Malta trustees gave their permission for the purchase at last week’s board meeting.

Supt. Kris Kuehn said the district hopes to have enough money left in the general fund at the end of June when the fiscal year ends to fund the purchase.

District Business Manager Jane Knudsen said Monday it appears the money will be available.
