One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, August 31, 2022

We have not had any rain but more hot days and some quite cool nights. We quite often have our first frost around Labor Day. Days are getting noticeably shorter too. Fall weather is here! Sunday the wind was vicious all day.

Dee Shettel was in and visited with Dora Henry one day this week.

Cheryl Ames and Linda Vulk, daughters of Dora Henry, visited over the weekend.

Velyma Broadhead and Polly Solberg both have beautiful sunflowers ---some of Velyma's are as high as her eaves.

Terri Cole was in town after her trip overseas. She is enjoying her new lifestyle and freedom. Good for her.

Congratulations to all having a birthday or an anniversary these fall days. Hope you enjoy many more

A racehorse is an animal that can take several thousand people for a ride at the same time.

We are sad to hear the nursing home is closing. It seems like such a short time since it was in trouble before. As much as it costs anymore for health care and nursing homes, hospitals, and such we wonder if some of the cosmetics and such could wait or be dispensed with for just some good old-fashioned care.

Have a good week, enjoy your neighbor, who you can finally visit again, take care of yourselves, and smile. A smile and a hug are almost always returned. And pray that right now we have not had the grasshoppers that some of our neighbors have had to ruin crops, etc.
