Week of Sept. 14: David and Dawn (Minugh) Kassa have returned to Dodson to help and care for her dad, Al Minugh. They are running the store and have two boys going to school here this year.

The Kirkaldi sisters served a delicious roast beef dinner at the Whapatu Center on Wednesday.

Velyma Broadhead and Kay Taylor returned home to Dodson after visiting in Bozeman for several days.

Velyma left Sunday to visit and help a daughter for a short while.

Polly Solberg left on Amtrak for Minnesota to visit relatives on Sunday.

Dora Henry's daughter, Teri Leys, and two young boys of Choteau visited Dora's house over the weekend. Teri just returned from Spokane where the doctors feel they have her cancer in check. She goes back for more tests and treatment this week.

We have had some pretty cold mornings, but it does not seem to have frosted yet. Still gets pretty warm in the daytime---and of course, the wind blows.

Glenn Dolphay has been working on Ava Welch's sewer to try and get it working before bad weather.

Birthday greetings go out to Bonnie Lankford and all others having a birthday this week. And anniversary congratulations to all sharing an anniversary this week.

Enjoy the good weather we are having and greet everyone with a smile---you might be surprised how many are returned to you.

Trying to beat the cooler weather coming.

The world is endless, the universe inexhaustible, and the human brain will never be threatened with unemployment.

Week of Sept. 21: The weather is certainly changing---much cooler nights. We actually did receive one small shower last week.

School is in full force again. Good to see the kids around again.

Polly Solberg returned from her visit to Minnesota on Saturday, Sept. 17 with only one day's delay over the threatened strike.

Teri Cole was visiting around Dodson on Sunday and stopped at the Henry home.

Dora's daughter, Linda Vulk, of East Helena, came home on Tuesday and daughter Teri Leys and Asher came on Friday. They are helping with a garage sale to be held at the Henry residence on Saturday, Sept. 24, and Sunday, Sept. 25 at 312 South Second Avenue West. Everything from chain hoists and meat cutting equipment to dishes and household items, 8:30 to 5:30.

Word has been received that Lynn Ward, wife of Doctor Mark Ward, formally of Havre for many years, has died of Melanoma Cancer. Condolences are sent to Dr. Ward and his family.

Teri Leys will be in Spokane again on Wednesday and Thursday for checks on her Melanoma cancer. Overall, she is feeling much better.

The Council on Aging meeting was held at the new Bus Barn on Wednesday, and all were impressed with its space and cleanliness. It should help with the buses doing better in bad weather this winter as well as now to just be inside.

It was sad to hear that along with the Covid and other troubles, West Nile was found in some of the local livestock, so they had to be destroyed.

Birthday greetings are extended to Bonnie Lankford and all others having a birthday this week and congratulations to all having an anniversary.

Start a new diet-----no more eating your own words, swallowing your pride, or putting your foot in your mouth.
