One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, November 23, 2022

The Wapatau Center served a good Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday in-house, and it was well attended. It was very cold, but everyone seemed to enjoy the social companionship and the good food.

Terri Cole left for Billings early Thursday morning. Polly Solberg left for Billings on Thursday also.

The end of the week saw slightly warmer temperatures with the sun making it through the maze and less wind.

Thanks to the unsung angels (Bonnie and Jerry) for clearing my walks and car. Hope to get the autos undercover again soon.

Our condolences go out to the families and friends of Bill Crowder and Rita Pray, long-known residents and former residents of our community. Both were well known and were active in the county's doings for years. Rita in service in many places & organizations and Bill, in service fixing for everyone and supporting 4-H and the fair, and other organizations.

My daughter, Teri Leys, returned from Spokane again and they were confident she had no new cancers, and the old ones were still shrinking. Thank God for good doctors and lots of prayers.

I for one hope it warms up some ---have half of my house packed up----thought I was going to move -----but am not---(at least not now at the present time anyway) so need to do a lot of shifting around, my house is a maze of boxes and 66 years of stuff, as much as an old lady can accumulate anyway. My friend, Polly, always told me I had a lot of pictures, I now agree, I actually have walls back there. Sometime when this winter lets up I may get some of them moved.

Congratulations and Best wishes to all having Birthdays or anniversaries this week. A Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

The reason grandparents and grandchildren get along so well is that they have a common enemy.

Have a wonderful week and enjoy your family and friends for Thanksgiving.
