DISPOSITION OF OBSOLETE AND UNDESIRABLE PROPERTY

Notice is hereby given as required by Section 20-6-604, MCA, the Board of Trustees of Malta School District 14A adopted a resolution at a regular trustee meeting on January 11, 2023 to dispose of abandoned, obsolete, unsuitable and undesirable property of minimal value, specifically a 2012 International Activity Bus. The minimum price is $1,500. The bus will be available for purchase as of 9:00 AM on February 9, 2023.

For more information, you may phone the school office at 654-1871. Any taxpayer of the district may appeal this resolution to district court anytime prior to the effective date of this resolution. The effective day of the resolution will be February 8, 2023.

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR OPERATING ASSISTANCE

This is to notify all interested parties that PHILLIPS TRANSIT AUTHORITY is applying for $185,506.00 under the Montana Department of Transportation’s Operating Grant Program 5311. Funding will be used for operating expenses associated with providing transportation services to the general public, elderly and persons with disabilities within Phillips County for the FY 2024 .

The application is on file at 810 S 3rd St E, Malta, MT. If requested, a public hearing will be held and public notice indicating the location, date and time of the hearing will be provided. Resolution Regarding Property Abandoned,

Obsolete, Undesirable or Unsuitable for School Purposes of the District:

The trustees of the Malta School District have determined that the following property of the district, located at the School Bus Barn, is abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes of the Malta School District.

The subject property is abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes because it is no longer needed - 2012 International Bus VIN ending in 00732.

As provided in § 20-6-604, MCA, the trustees of the Malta School District hereby resolve to sell off the property identified above because it is or is about to become abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes of the Malta School District. Minimum price will be $1500.00.

The trustees of the Malta School District further resolve that notices of the resolution shall be published on the 18th day and the 25th day of January 2023, in the Phillips County News newspaper.

This resolution shall become effective 14 days after publication of the second notice identified in the immediately preceding paragraph, unless appealed to the district court by a taxpayer in compliance with and as provided in §20-6-604, MCA.

The bus will be available for ownership starting February 9, 2023 at 9:00 AM. The first purchaser with at least the minimum price will be the owner. Contact the Central Office if interested.
