One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, January 25, 2023

It is still staying cold and looks like no relief for a while.

We said goodbye to two members of our community this week with the funerals of Travis Scheffelmaer on Friday and the funeral of long-time resident Betty Munson on Saturday. Betty had a short but very fitting funeral service at the Wilderness Home and then was interned at the Dodson Hillside cemetery. Condolences again to their families. Thanks to the Dodson Ladies who served lunch at the Sacred Heart Hall. It was nice to see some of Betty's kids who traveled so far to say goodbye to their mother. That's always hard.

The girls at the center have been serving good lunches through this nasty weather. Hard to estimate how many will be out and around.

Congratulations to the teams for playing so hard in their games. Continued good luck.

Birthday wishes and anniversary greetings to all celebrating this week. Best wishes for many more.

There have been so many more shootings and violence around all over our country, we have to feel sorry for them and the people that the senseless killings leave behind.

Woman to friend; "We're still working out the wedding arrangements, I want on and he doesn't."

Have a good week and stay warm----careful and please don't fall.
