Bob attended Malta and Whitewater schools, graduating from Whitewater, MT.

Bob married Betty Murdock and together they adopted two children: a biological brother and a sister. They later divorced.

Bob later married Gloria Fuhrman and they spent their years together in Yuma, AZ, in the winter and summers in Billings, MT.
