Malta Board Decides Against Special Levy Election

The Malta School Board decided not to hold a special mill levy election, hired four new teachers and a new head girls basketball coach, and authorized the purchase of new computers at their meeting last week. Supt. At April's meeting, Kris Kuehn recommended the board not call for a levy election on the traditional date in May because the state legislature was still working on an education funding bill.
