Milk River Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, presented Flag Day Certificates to area businesses on Friday, June 14th.
In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation that designated June 14 as Flag Day. On August 3, 1949, National Flag Day was officially established by an Act of Congress.
The week of June 9 - 16 2024 was designated as Flag Week. American citizens are encouraged to fly their flag every day but especially during Flag Week....
