Douglas Lee Plouffe, 91, born February 23, 1933, from Wagner, Montana, passed away July 10th. He was preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Faye Watson from Malta, Montana. He is also preceded in death by his siblings Margaret Plouffe Siroshton (Hank), Sonny Amos Plouffe (Ilene), Alan Plouffe (Dorothy), and Thelma Plouffe Carnahan (Gene).
Doug and Evelyn lived in Memphis, Tennessee, while Doug was in the Navy SEABEES. From 1956-1986 Doug worked for Burlington Northern Railroad in Havre as a switchman, brakeman and yardmaster. Doug served in several Union positions while working on the railroad including local chairman, general secretary, and executive vice chairman. While still working for the railroad, Doug and Evelyn purchased a farm/ranch outside of Chinook, Montana, which he and his current wife Darla Norberg Plouffe sold in 2021.
He was currently living in Great Falls, Montana, with his current wife Darla from Chinook. He is survived by his wife Darla and the four children he gained in their marriage. Kelly Belcher (Dee), Cory Belcher, Forrest Belcher (Tammy) and Kary Belcher (Danny). Douglas was also blessed to have their children as grandchildren. Dustin (Lauren), Destinee, Dakota (Chelsea), Samantha (Dayne), Dylan (Shandra) and Jesse.
He is also survived by his and Evelyn's children Darrell, Gwen Carter (Mark) and Ronda Plouffe, and Grandson Garrett Carter (Britney).
Douglas was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Doug was well-loved and respected. We live on to honor his memory.
