Mustangs Down Spartans 54-14

The Malta Mustang football team started their season off with a strong 54-14 victory over the Baker Spartans in Baker last Friday, August 30.

Malta will travel to Red Lodge to face the Rams, who just defeated the Whitehall Trojans 46-8 last Friday.

The Mustangs were led by senior quarterback Stockton Oxarart, who completed 10-of-11 pass attempts for 264 yards and five touchdowns.

Senior Blaine Downing led the rushing attack with 169 yards and two touchdowns on seven attempts (24.1 YPC). He had the longest runs of the game, a 95-yard rushing touchdown, and a 85-yard kickoff return touchdown. S....
