Woman Arrested After Standoff, Shootout with PCSO

The following is a press release by Sheriff Jerry Lytle of the Phillips County Sheriff's Office in regards to the incident in Zortman last Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 0823 hours, the Phillips County Sheriff's Office received a phone call from a female reporting that a friend in the Zortman area had called her reporting that her house was on fire.

The dispatcher made several phone calls to confirm this but there did not appear to be a fire in that area.
