Happy New Year to all of you reading this article. Someone said, “Christmas is over.” As I contemplated that statement I realized that Christmas is ongoing, never over. It’s a day that we celebrate Christ’s birth, but the reason he was born is never over. And all I can say to that is “Thank you, Lord!”

On Christmas Eve I attended a candlelight service at Joy Lutheran with a friend, Carol Metzger.

I realized that I’ve been missing the liturgy of the Lutheran church and I was refreshed.
