One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for January 10, 2018

Happy New Year 2018 to all! Did you make resolutions?

On New Year’s Eve the temperature was 30 below zero here in Whitewater, Mont. Most of Montana was experiencing subzero temps! So dress warm.

Sympathy to all people and animals outside in freezing cold weather.

North 40 had a party in spite of cold on New Year’s Eve. There was even live music! It featured the “Tremblay Band” with ‘Spanky’, Mace and two other singer/guitar players. The lady drummer was a former WHS student and graduate who learned music from the Whitewater School Band!

A group from Dodson and Malta also attended the party. Nancy and Jim Murdock were also guests at the North 40.

Linda Berg had family from Canada for the holidays.

Well I traveled to Swift Current, CA on Dec. 27th. I visited my daughter Teresa (Moore) Dyck. Paul and Leona Siewings took me and they went to a hockey game! The boys, twins Seth and Jonathan, really enjoyed it too. FYI: you do need a PassPort to cross the Canadian/USA Border (and you need to sign your PassPort).

Luckily the weather was good until we returned. Jason Hellie took all his boys to Seattle, Wash. to visit R.J. Hellie and sightsee. What fun!

Happy Birthday to all January birthdays. Stay warm.

Attention Whitewater: I am interested in starting a once a week transportation by Phillips Transit Authority available from Malta to Whitewater and return trip, beginning Wednesday, January 17. All ages welcome to ride, $4 per trip. Also maybe a lunch at the North 40 before return. For more information call 654-5301 and /or 674-5576.
