Simonson named Whitewater valedictorian, Simanton salutatorian

Whitewater Schools have announced that Trace Simonson is the valedictorian and Trey Simanton as salutatorian of the Class of 2018.

Trace is the son of Matt and Heather Simonson of Whitewater. Trace plans to attend Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont., and wants to obtain a degree in business management while playing football for the Battlin' Bears. After college, he plans on moving back to Whitewater to run cattle on the family farm and ranch.

Trey is the son of Doug and Ronda Simanton of Whitewater. Trey plans to find a job and work on the ranch after graduation. Trey plans to work on the family ranch after graduation.

Whitewater's graduation will be Friday, May 18 starting at 7 p.m. in the school's gymnasium. Joining Trace and Trey in graduation will be classmates Jordan Pewitt and Cody Scheffelmear.

Saco Schools have chosen Jake Stuart as the graduation speaker and Hannah Hanley will be graduating from the eighth grade.
