One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for August 8, 2018

Bob and Karen Wallgren from Wadena, Minn., were here the first of the week visiting Edward and Polly Solberg and stayed overnight.

The 103rd continuous Phillips County Fair has come and gone this weekend and was hot and dry as the weather usually is for the fair. It was a good time to meet and greet people who had not seen each other for some time and for families that had kids with projects and exhibits. There were some cloudbursts in other places, including Havre, but we were missed, thank heaven.

Terri Cole has been busy getting exhibits and helping out with the Vegetable/Flower Booth at the Fair.

Edward and Polly Solberg's son Tim and family of Billings came on Saturday to visit. On Sunday afternoon they attended the Fort Peck Theater to see The Little Mermaid.

On Sunday most of the Dodson Lutheran congregation attended the Elim Lutheran services in Malta to see Orvin Solberg installed as their pastor. No services were held in Dodson. Most of the congregation is related to Orvin.

Teri Leys and her grandchildren, Keith and Kortni Wilson of Whitehall visited her mom, Dora Henry for a few days and attended the Little Mermaid at the Fort Peck Theater on Saturday evening.

Gardens are producing well and I have had extra vegetables, as usual, to give to people wanting fresh, even zucchini!

School starts again in just two weeks. Where has the summer gone?

Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them.

They are saying the end of the week is supposed to be HOT, so enjoy the cool days and nights and have a good week!
