Consequences following MIPs lead to reduction in underage drinking in Phillips County

According to public record, in March 2009, Judge Gayle Stahl reported to her office under the influence of alcohol which resulted in a report to the Judicial Standards’ Commission of the State of Montana. She received a written admonition and was advised that any further incidents brought to the attention of the Commission involving alcohol would result in a formal complaint against her with the Montana Supreme Court along with the Commissions’ recommendation that she be removed from office if the allegations were proven true.
