    On Monday, July 18, Malta's Co-Ed Softball league kicked off in a surprisingly competitive fashion right off the bat. The action continued Tuesday night. Tuesday's game featured a couple of blowout games as Judd / Thompson (JT) took down Young's Floor Covering 18-4. Malta Recreation took down the R & G Feeders 13-1.   • Season warms up for Co-ed league

    As the Malta Co-ed softball league closed out its second game of the year, the score of the game was noticeably smaller than that of the season opener, which was 15-9. Last week's game ended in a 7-6 thriller won by Team A. The defense in the game was better with multiple double plays, and stronger defense in both the infield and outfield.   • Co-Ed Softball League held first game last Tuesday in Trafton Park

    It’s officially official. Malta’s Co-Ed softball league has held games Last Thursday and last Tuesday night at Trafton Park after the event held its first meeting last Thursday. “We had some people turn up and we actually played some softball then,” said Jo Tharp the event’s main coordinator. “Then we had some more people register for softball over the weekend.” As it stands, the league has 22 members, which is big enough for two teams at the moment.
