The Dodson Lady Coyotes picked up their second win of the season last Monday, January 18 as they defeated the Chinook Lady Sugarbeeters JV Squad 57-43 at the Coyote Den in Dodson. A little less than a month ago, on February 3 to be exact, a press release confirmed that Malta M-ette senior Darby Schye signed with The University of Montana Western. Schye, as a 6'1" low post player, helped lead the M-ettes to the team's ninth state title in the school's history. The Saco-Whitewater Panthers had a tremendous basketball season that ended with the team placing second in the state at the 2015 State C Tournament a couple of weeks ago in Missoula. Though all Lady Panthers were contributors to the team, four stood out and received 3-C All-Conference Honors. Their dominant 26-0 2015 campaign ended in a 46-35 win over the Colstrip Fillies in the 2015 Class B Girls Championship in Great Falls. The Saco-Whitewater-Hinsdale (SWH) Lady Panthers ended the season on the same note that got them to the 2015 Class C State Championship game in Missoula, and that's with ferocious defense. For the first time in a few years the Mustangs (15-10) will miss the state tournament after losing 53-40 to the Rocky Boy Northern Stars in the Northern B challenge game last Monday.
