Larry D. LaMere

Larry D. LaMere, 58, of Merwin, MO, a former laborer/construction worker, died of a heart attack at his home on October 19, 2014. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army in the '70's and was briefly stationed in Germany. Larry worked in construction in Las Vegas. For the last several years, he lived in Missouri and cherished his many special friends there. He was a proficient cribbage and chess player. As a talented artist, he designed walking staffs, etched drawings on glass, and painted pictures. He was born on October 5, 1956 in Ft. Belknap, raised in Chinook, attended Chinook schools, plus Chilocco, SIPI and Salish Kootenai College.

Cremation has taken place. His memorial grave side service with military honors is Saturday, November 15 at 11 a.m. at the Malta cemetery. Kirkwood Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of local arrangements.

Survivors include sisters, Elaine Allery of Albuquerque; Jean Allery and Teresa Adamson of Havre; Charlotte Baker of Libby; Colette Olson of Chinook; Cheryl Hunt of Lethbridge; Debby Hoyt and Susie LaMere of Browning and a brother, Michael LaMere of Browning plus several nephews, nieces, cousins, and special friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Thomas and Margaret, and a brother, Thomas LaMere Jr. and a brother-in-law, James Adamson. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Animal Humane Society or your favorite organization.
