Resolution Regarding Property Abandoned, Obsolete, Undesirable or Unsuitable for School Purposes of the District:

The trustees of the Malta School District have determined that the following property of the district, located at #1 High School Lane is abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes of the Malta School District.

The subject property is abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes because it has been in storage for up to Five (5) years.

As provided in § 20-6-604, MCA, the trustees of the Malta School District hereby resolve to sell off the property identified above because it is or is about to become abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes of the Malta School District.

The trustees of the Malta School District further resolve that notices of the resolution shall be published on the 18th and 25th days of February, 2015, in the Phillips County News newspaper.

This resolution shall become effective 14 days after publication of the second notice identified in the immediately preceding paragraph, unless appealed to the district court by a taxpayer in compliance with and as provided in §20-6-604, MCA.

The Malta Public Schools will hold a garage sale the week of June 8th-14th,, 2015, at a time, date and place to be advertised.

NOTICE THAT A TAX DEED

MAY BE ISSUED TO, MILTON R. WERK AND LISA WERK

TO: Jarrette Werk and anyone claiming under him.

Pursuant to section 15-18-212, Montana Code Annotated, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:

1. As a result of a property tax delinquency, a property tax lien exists on the following described real property in which you may have an interest:

Lot 2 and 4 of Block 8 of Cassidy’s Addition to the Town of Dodson, according to the official plat thereof.

2. The property taxes became delinquent on June 1, 2011, on June 1, 2012, and June 1, 2013.

3. The property tax lien was attached as the result of a tax sale held on July 20, 2012, for 2011 taxes, July 17, 2013 for 2012 taxes, and July 17, 2014 for 2013 taxes.

4. The property tax lien was purchased at a tax sale, by the County of Phillips, Court House, Malta, Phillips County, Montana 59538.

5. The lien was subsequently assigned to Milton R. Werk and Lisa Werk, of P.O. Box 161, Dodson, Montana 59524.

6. As of the date of this Notice, the amount of tax due is:

Taxes: $ 899.47

Penalty: $ 17.96

Interest: $ 35.96

TOTAL: $ 953.39

7 For the property tax lien to be liquidated, the total amount listed in paragraph 6 must be paid by June 29, 2015, which is the date that the redemption period expires or expired.

8 .If all taxes, penalties, interest, and costs are not paid to the county treasurer on or prior to June 29, 2015, which is the date the redemption period expires, or on or prior to the date on which the County Treasurer will otherwise issue a Tax Deed, a Tax Deed may be issued to the purchaser on the day following the date that the redemption period expires or on the date the County Treasurer will otherwise issue a Tax Deed.

9. The business address and telephone number of the county treasurer who is responsible for issuing the Tax Deed is: Phillips County Treasurer, Court House, Malta, Montana 59538, telephone number (406)654-1742.

FURTHER, NOTICE FOR THOSE PERSONS LISTED ABOVE WHOSE ADDRESSES ARE UNKNOWN:

1. The addresses of the above interested parties are unknown.

2. The published Notice meets the legal requirements for notice of a pending tax deed issuance.

3 .The interested parties’ rights in the property may be in jeopardy.

BUDGET AMENDMENT RESOLUTION

WHITEWATER SCHOOL DISTRICT 20D

PHILLIPS COUNTY

At a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of Whitewater School District 20D, Phillips County, Montana, held February 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Whitewater School Superintendent Office, the following resolution was introduced:

WHEREAS the trustees of Whitewater School District 20D, Phillips County, Montana, have made a determination that the district’s flex fund budget does not provide sufficient financing to provide for unforeseen needs of the district and

WHEREAS the trustees have determined that an amendment to the flex fund budget in the amount of $150,000 is necessary under the provisions of Section 20-9-161 (6)

WHEREAS the anticipated source of financing the budget amendment expenditures shall be Montana Oil and Gas.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of Whitewater School District 20D, Phillips County, Montana, proclaims a need for an amendment to the K-12 school district’s flex fund for fiscal year 2014-15 in the amount of $150,000 under Section 20-9-161 (6), MCA for the purpose identified above, and;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of Whitewater School district 20D, Phillips County, Montana, met at 7:00 p.m. in the Whitewater School Superintendent Office on March 10, 2015 for the purpose of considering and adopting the budget amendment.
