Yvonne B. Wheeler Norgon Holman

Stevensville - Yvonne B. Holman passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015.

Yvonne Blanche Wheeler was born in Kevin, MT on Christmas Day, 1927 to Laura (Lolly) and Harold Wheeler. She lived in Choteau, MT until 1942 and then moved to Charlo, MT where she graduated from high school in 1945. Her life-long love of music grew from many years of piano and dancing lessons when she was young.

In 1947 Yvonne married Earl Morrie Norgon. They adopted two children: a son, John, and a daughter, Maureen Kay. They divorced in 1956.

Yvonne moved to Malta, MT. In 1960 she married Everall Holman. They had three daughters: Lanni, Kathy, and Kelly. Yvonne enjoyed life in Malta where she worked at J.C. Penney, First Security Bank, played piano/organ for the Malta and Dodson Lutheran Churches, and played at supper clubs in Malta. She was very active helping with the Malta Swim Team. She and Everall divorced in 1980.

Yvonne moved to Flagstaff, AZ where she worked as an administrative assistant with the Dept. of Economic Security until 2000. Upon retirement she returned to Malta until 2006 when, due to health concerns, she moved to Stevensville, MT.

In addition to music, Yvonne also enjoyed watching sports, reading, pinochle, and had a great love of family and her family history.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wheeler, her mother, Laura Lund Wheeler Snyder, her step-father, Leon Snyder, her brother, Grant Wheeler, and her infant son, Timothy Holman. She is survived by her sister, Laurie White, son, John Norgon, daughters: M. Kay Daley (Ron), Lanni Jacobson (Curt), Kathy Van Houdt (Paul), and Kelly Orahood (Jim), ten grandchildren, two great-grandsons, sister-in-law, Sharon Wheeler, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Mission in Stevensville with a luncheon following in the St. Mary's Family Center. A Celebration of Life will be held in Malta next spring. Interment will take place in the Choteau Cemetery in Choteau.
