Slow down and watch for children

Dear Editor,

Today I watched at least five cars pass through an intersection on Central Ave. As a young grade schooler waited at the crosswalk for someone to stop. The kid apparently lost his patience (which I don't blame him) made a run for it, and damn near got hit by a car!

The driver of the car laid on the horn (like it was the kid's fault) and sped off.

Needless to say, I followed the driver and had a few choice words with the individual.
