The 2016 Marketplace Open Enrollment period began November 1, 2015 and will continue through January 31, 2016. Consumers who have already received health coverage through the Marketplace should come back to shop and review their coverage options, as new, better and more affordable plans may be available for them in 2016. If you don’t have insurance or don’t file for an exemption in 2016 the tax fee is $695 per person and $347.50 per child under 18, or 2.5% of your income (whichever is higher).
