One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for Mayb 4, 2016

Hi to all – well, thought I would have fun by falling, but it was not fun at all and I broke my hip! I spent the weekend in Northern Montana Hospital, then a week in the Phillips County Hospital.

I got great care at both places and a special salute to the CNAs who do excellent work. I got an ambulance ride to Havre in the Phillips County Ambulance; then return trips to Malta in the Havre ambulance. Now I am going to Glasgow at Valley View Home.

Sympathy to all and also get well wishes to all (Vern Parker included) who have had broken bones lately.

I learned not to take simple things, like going to the restroom or getting a glass of water myself, for granted. When you lose use of limbs it takes real effort to move. So we should all take one day at a time and one step at a time.

Anyway, people have all been wonderful and I do appreciate everything everyone has done. Thanks to all who have visited me, too.

Justin Austin and boys Atlas and Archer are visiting and working at the Austin Ranch. They visited me also; nice to see them.

I have been gone so I did not get to attend the Whitewater School Carnival, But I heard it was a big success.

The whole of Phillips County have about two inches of rain! Everything is getting green.

I have had lots of flowers in my room. It is great to get flowers while you are alive instead of during a funeral.

If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Happy birthday to all the April birthdays.

Have a good week.

Helen
